Two COVID-19 Deaths Reported in Dubois County

Dubois County Health Department

Dubois County is reporting a second coronavirus-related death.

Less than 24 hours after reporting its first COVID-19 death, the Dubois County Health Department announced its 2nd.

In a release, Health Officer Dr. Ted Waflart announced the new death with “great sadness.”

He offered “deepest condolences to the family and friends.”

Waflart said the second victim, like the first, had underlying medical conditions.

Their identities were not released.

Waflart reiterated the virus is “very serious” and urged everyone to continue social distancing and other preventative measures.

They include frequent hand washing with soap and water, not touching your face, avoiding close contact with people who are sick, staying home when you’re sick, covering your cough or sneeze, cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces, and wearing a cloth face mask when out in public.
