Under Indiana governor Eric Holcomb’s Back on Track plan, retail stores can open Monday with restrictions.
Curt Jones is co-owner of Ultimate Fit of in Evansville, along with his wife Cindy. During the pandemic shutdown, the couple has kept their business going with curbside and online sales and a loan through the Paycheck Protection Program.
Jones says after being closed for a month and a half, there’s a lot of pent up demand for their products.
“I think it means a lot of people are going to be coming in, to be honest with you. Of course, we’ll have to conform to the guidelines. They’ll have to wear a mask as our staff will be also.”
Under the state guidelines, retail stores can open with up to fifty percent capacity. For Ultimate Fit, that will mean no more than twenty customers in the store at one time. Jones says they’ll ask any additional customers to wait in their vehicles until they are called to come in the store.
