The state of Indiana has passed a grim milestone as COVID cases continue to rise.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported 44 new deaths Thursday, raising the statewide total above 1,000 – to 1,007.
The state also reported nearly 670 new confirmed cases – up to almost 18,000.
The number of people tested in Indiana rose to nearly 95,000.
Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, and Gibson counties all recorded increases in confirmed cases.
14 deaths have been reported in Warrick County. Vanderburgh County has held at one.
