COVID Cases Drop by One in Vanderburgh; Death Toll Jumps Statewide

Wednesday's COVID-19 data shows Vanderburgh County’s number of confirmed cases dropped, while the statewide death toll reached a grim milestone. 

The Vanderburgh County Health Department reported 64 cases on Wednesday, down one from Tuesday’s report due to a data error.

No new coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Vanderburgh County. Only one has been recorded.

The Indiana Department of Health reported 2 more confirmed cases in Warrick County, while the death toll there stood at 3.

One new confirmed case was reported in Posey County, raising the total to six.

No new cases were recorded in Gibson County.

Statewide, the department reported 49 more deaths, pushing the total beyond 400 – to 436.

The state reported more than 400 new confirmed cases, to nearly 9,000.
