Confirmed cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in Vanderburgh and Warrick counties.
Numbers released from the Indiana State Department of Health Monday showed 3 new confirmed cases in Vanderburgh County, bringing the total to 40.
The count in Warrick County jumped 6 to 19.
Posey County held steady at 5 cases and Gibson County held at 4.
Statewide, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases approached 5,000 and the death toll increased to 139.
The agency said more than 26,000 people have been tested for the coronavirus in Indiana.
