A coronavirus-related death has been reported in western Kentucky.
Hopkins County Health Director Denise Beach delivered the news during a Facebook Live update Friday morning…
"The Health Department received confirmation of a death of a Hopkins County resident related to the COVID-19 outbreak. This was a senior adult with co-morbid or other health conditions."
Beach said Hopkins County has two other confirmed cases of COVID-19.
She told viewers how authorities go about finding those who may be infected…
"Who was around them in the two days before their symptoms began until the current time, and we work with those that were within six feet of them for 20-to-30 minutes"
Beach said officials have sent condolences to the family of the deceased.
