Hornsby to Headline ROMP

Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum

Officials have announced the lineup for this summer’s ROMP festival.

Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers will headline the three-day festival at Yellow Creek Park in Owensboro.

While Hornsby is known for his mainstream hit, "The Way It Is" , a release from ROMP notes he has ties to traditional American roots music, collaborating with Ricky Skaggs as well as playing and touring with the Grateful Dead.

Other top artists signed to play this year’s ROMP include Sam Bush, The Devil Makes Three, and Mandolin Orange.

Perhaps the biggest event – at least for public radio listeners – is a previously announced taping of Live from Here with Chris Thile.

It will air two days later on WNIN FM.

This year’s ROMP is set for June 24 through the 27th.
