Indiana State Police have arrested a man accused of driving a stolen SUV while drunk in Gibson County.

A trooper stopped the vehicle on U.S. 41 near State Road 68 Tuesday night.

In a release, the ISP said the driver was traveling 84 miles an hour.

The driver was identified as 22-year-old Cody Randall of Jeffersonville.

While talking to the driver, police said the trooper detected signs of impairment, but Randall refused to submit to a chemical test.

Further investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Louisville.

Police arrested Randall and took him to the Gibson County Jail.

He faces preliminary charges of Possession of Stolen Property, Driving While Intoxicated-Refusal, and Operating a Vehicle without ever Obtaining a Driver’s License.
