With the new year also comes tax season. Here's information on where you can get some help filing your taxes.
Starting next month, the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library will again be offering free tax filing help to anyone through April 10th.
Beginning Jan. 13th, you can make an appointment for the tax help by calling or visiting any public library branch. Walk-in appointments for the tax help sessions which start February 5th will be on a first-come, first served basis.
The free tax help is provided through a partnership with AARP. You should plan to bring a photo ID and all of your tax documents with you.
The service will be offered at a different EVPL branch location each weekday during the tax filing season. Here is the schedule and branch information:
