More than half of EVSC Schools Meet Federal Expectations

File

Just over half of Evansville’s public schools met federal expectations, while one exceeded them.

The latest data shows 18 of the EVSC’s 35 schools that received the accountability ratings met expectations.

Scott Elementary was the only EVSC school that the feds said exceeded expectations.

Seven schools approached the baseline set by the federal ratings system, while eight EVSC schools were designated Does Not Meet Expectations.

The data showed all Warrick County public schools met, approached, or exceeded the federal baselines.

Mt. Vernon and North Posey schools all met expectations.

And all Gibson County public schools either met or approached the federal expectations.

The new ratings replaced a letter-grade system.
