Goodyear Buys Raben

Goodyear

One of the world’s biggest tire companies is buying Evansville’s Raben Tire.

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company says it’s purchased Raben, which was founded in Evansville in 1952.

On its website, Goodyear described Raben as one of the largest tire and service companies in the Midwest with more than 30 commercial and consumer tire and service locations, and retread production plants.

Raben has been owned by affiliates of Palladium Equity Partners, LLC since 2014.

Goodyear described Palladium as a middle market private equity firm with about $3 billion in assets.

Goodyear North America Vice President Dave Beasley said the addition of Raben further expands the company’s network and “strengthens Goodyear’s ability to serve fleets.”

Goodyear operates 47 manufacturing facilities in 21 countries.
