Sports betting is underway at Tropicana Evansville.
Placing bets on sporting events began Thursday at the local casino, after Indiana lawmakers approved the gaming earlier this year.
On its website, Tropicana says patrons can now visit the William Hill Sports Book inside the casino, sign up for a Rewards Card, grab sports betting sheets, place bets at a Betting Counter or at casino kiosks, watch live games in the Sports Book Lounge and – if your team wins -- cash in your winning bets.
Indiana officials are hoping the new gaming will increase revenue across the state.
The Indiana Gaming Commission is also considering sports betting via mobile app.
