The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra has a new executive director.
The orchestra’s board of directors removed the word “acting” and appointed Kimberly Bredemeier as Executive Director.
Bredemeier has served as Acting Executive Director since December.
She served as Director of Operations for the Philharmonic for 15 seasons.
In a news release, Board President Mark Powers said an intense study of the organization revealed that Bredemeier “presented the ideal profile in all relevant areas, given her education as well as extensive experience with the EPO.”
The orchestra is also searching for a new music director to replace the retiring Maestro Alfred Savia.
The EPO opens its 2019-2020 season with a Classics concert Saturday, September 28 at the Victory Theatre.
Laura Jackson, the first of five music director finalists, will conduct the Orchestra on opening night.
