You have an opportunity to learn about a major water main project along First Avenue.
The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility is hosting a Project Open House Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 in Room 107 of Ivy Tech.
Utility officials will offer an overview of the project and provide general customer information.
Following a brief presentation, officials will be available to talk one-on-one to answer individual property questions.
The First Avenue Water Main Replacement project is expected to include 7,900 feet of new 4-inch to 36-inch water main pipe and related improvements from Eichel to Colonial avenues.
The goal is to increase water supply and improve water distribution on the North Side.
The project is scheduled to bid later this year, with construction expected to begin in early 2020.
