Barry Remnants To Drench Tri-State

The remnants of Hurricane Barry are bringing rain to the Tri-State.

The National Weather Service says rain will spread north into the region with the heaviest rainfall across southeast Missouri, far west Kentucky, and extreme southern Illinois.

A few strong to severe storms are also possible.

The Evansville area can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms from Barry through tonight, with the best chance for rain on Tuesday.

Rainfall totals south of the Evansville area will range from two-and-a-half to four-and-a-half inches.

Lesser amounts are expected in our area.

Forecasters say after the rain moves out, a period of heat and humidity is likely through the weekend.

The weather service is predicting high temperatures in the mid-90s with heat indices up to 105 each afternoon Thursday through Sunday.
