Fire has temporarily closed an East Side Evansville restaurant.
Fire Department Division Chief Mike Larson says in an email that passers-by reported a fire on the roof of Cleavers Restaurant in the 5500 block of East Indiana St. at about 6:00 Tuesday evening.
Larson says firefighters arrived minutes later and discovered an electrical fire on the roof.
He says crews quickly extinguished the fire which caused minor damage to the roof and a wall.
Larson says all employees and customers safely escaped, and no injuries were reported.
Cleavers will be closed until repairs can be completed.
