Continued community support for high quality local journalism has been awarded again in 2019. WNIN received regional awards in the small market division of the Radio Television Digital News Association in two categories. Region 7 of the RTDNA is Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Michigan.

For 2019:

Region 7 Overall Excellence- For the second year, WNIN's local news, diversity and innovation earned one of the highest honors in broadcast news for the four state region.

RTDNA has 13 regions. WNIN's entries now go on to national competition in those categories. The national awards are announced in June. WNIN receeived a national Edward R. Murrow award in 2015 and national awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Public Radio News Directors, Inc. organization in 2018 for our investigation into the impact of the crime of Dr. Albert Fink.

We want to thank our listeners and supporters who make this community recognition possible.
