Voters have elected a new mayor in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
Joe Judge defeated incumbent mayor Bill Hudson by a more than 2-to-1 margin in Tuesday's consolidated election.
Judge thanked the voters and Hudson for his commitment to the City of Mt. Carmel over the past 12 years.
Voters also elected Mt. Carmel City Commissioners. The winners were Justin Dulgar, Rod Rodriguez, Eric Ikemire, and Thomas Meeks.
They were the top vote-getters among seven candidates for city commission seats.
