A portion of the Veterans Memorial Parkway and Riverside Drive will shut down starting Tuesday for water work.
Crews will close Vets Memorial from Shawnee Drive to the intersection of Riverside and Cherry Street.
Workers will be replacing a water transmission line that serves about half the city.
The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility is asking drivers to use the Lloyd Expressway to access downtown during the project.
It’s expected to take 7-to-10 days.
Officials say Riverside attractions will stay open during the work, including the Evansville Museum and Mickey’s Kingdom.
Vehicles can enter the Museum parking lot at Cherry Street and Riverside Drive.
