The EVSC is inviting high school seniors and their parents to learn more about college planning.
The school corporation will host an event Thursday evening to help students and parents fill out and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form.
FAFSA allows parents to apply for financial aid, including grants, work-study, and loans to pay for post-secondary education.
To complete the form, parents and students will need to bring Social Security numbers for both parent and student, the Alien Registration Number for non-U.S. citizens, Date of Birth for both student and parent, Tax filing status for both student and parents, 2017 federal income tax returns, W-2s and other records of money earned for students and parents.
Other required information includes the month and year parents were married, remarried, separated, or divorced; and bank statements and records of investments -- if applicable.
The event is from 6 to 8 p.m Thursday at the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center on Lynch Road.
It’s free and open to EVSC high school seniors and their families.
