A venue for young artists and musicians in Evansville is closing.

PG has announced on its Facebook page that the café at 1418 W. Franklin St. will shut down at the end of the year.

Owner Todd Huber said the six years of PG's existence have been “an immense and indescribable success, measured not in profit, but in the strength of the community that was given space to thrive.”

In the post, Huber said the community is “important” and “beautiful” and will continue to grow.

But Huber said PG has been living “shut-off notice to shut-off notice.”

He says PG will finish off the year with exciting shows, quality food and drinks, and “dope-ass art.”
