WNIN continuing coverage of a federal lawsuit against the University of Evansville and former theater professor Scott Lank for alleged racial and sexual harassment.

UE Theatre Professor Accused Of Harassment Placed On Leave

A University of Evansville (UE) theatre professor accused of racially and sexually harassing a student has been placed on administrative leave.

A lawyer representing UE told WNIN over email that theatre professor Scott Lank has been placed on administrative leave for the fall 2018 semester.

The lawyer added that Lank’s employment past the fall 2018 semester is “subject to ongoing review.”

Lank is accused of sexually and racially harassing a student on several occasions. That student, Alexis Seay, is a black woman.

Seay filed a lawsuit in federal court against Lank, the university, and two administrators.

Lank denies the allegations. The university denies any negligence in the case.
