The British company that owns Mead Johnson says it will create 95 new jobs in Evansville.
RB has announced that it plans to invest $25 million to update and further increase capabilities and capacity at Mead Johnson Nutrition, with plans to create 95 jobs over the next five years.
RB is a global health and hygiene company and maker of consumer goods including Lysol, Mucinex, and Air Wick. It added infant nutrition to its health portfolio when it acquired Mead Johnson in 2017.
In a news release, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation says it offered RB up to $1.25 million in conditional tax credits based on the company's job creation plans.
The Evansville City Council is considering additional incentives at the request of the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville.
RB Health Senior Vice President Steve Braun says $11 million of the investment will “improve operational efficiencies and more effectively utilize buildings” at Mead Johnson’s West Side facility.
