Sebree Exit Quickly Re-opens

The southbound I-69/Pennyrile Parkway exit at Sebree has reopened much sooner than expected.

The ramp was closed to repair a underground water main break, and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet warned the work to repair the pavement could take a long time.

But in a news release, the Cabinet’s Keith Todd says the agency’s Webster County crew, with help from the Henderson Section engineering staff, implemented a repair plan yesterday (Tues) and the work was quickly completed.

Todd said the crew filled in and packed material in the excavation.

Drivers should be aware of rough pavement at the exit.

Todd said traffic will be allowed to run on the repaired area for several weeks while it settles, and then a new coat of asphalt will be added.
