Traffic on the Twin Bridges will become more restricted during the overnight hours, starting next week.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says contractors will shut down the southbound bridge between Evansville and Henderson from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. as part of the ongoing Fix for 41 Project.
INDOT says in a news release that crews will begin pavement overlay on the southbound span, requiring the bridge to be closed.
The operation is expected to take about a week depending on weather conditions.
Restrictions and a reduced speed limit are already in place on the Twin Bridges, with two southbound lanes divided between the two spans.
INDOT urges motorists to slow down and avoid distractions, especially in work zones.
