A new traffic light is about to be activated near the Vanderburgh-Warrick county line.
Officials say the new signal at 4200 Epworth Road – next to the Ohio Township fire station -- will begin normal operation Tuesday morning at 9:00.
The signal has been installed and has been on flash in recent days.
The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office says the new light will be “interconnected” with existing signals at the Gateway Hospital Entrance and at Epworth and Lincoln.
The sheriff says the signal timing will be adjusted in the next few weeks, and any complaints regarding improper cycling should be forwarded to his office.
The new light will also be connected to the fire station, where firefighters can activate it and clear traffic away from the station’s driveway when they’re responding to a call.
