The deadline is approaching for people with sleep disorders to file a claim in a $125 million dollar lawsuit settlement.
Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois are among 48 states and the District of Columbia participating in the settlement with drug-maker Cephalon for what is known as “pay for delay”.
“Pay for delay” happens when a pharmaceutical company tries to make money from its high-priced patented drug by paying another company to delay introduction of a cheaper, generic alternative.
A release from the Indiana attorney general’s office says the deadline for filing a claim in the lawsuit is April 13th. If you took the sleep disorder drug Provigil, or a generic version of Provigil between 2006 and 2012, you could be eligible for part of the multi-state cash settlement.
For more information or to obtain a claim form, visit StateAGProvigilSettlement.com or call 1-877-236-1413. Indiana residents who are eligible have until April 13 to file a claim.
