ISP stops wrong-way driver

Indiana State Police arrested an Evansville man for allegedly traveling the wrong way on Highway 41 and nearly hitting a patrol car. 

Police said it happened early Sunday on U.S. 41, south of Boonville New Harmony Road.

A news release from state police stated a car traveling southbound in the northbound lanes nearly collided head-on with their cruiser.

Troopers said they stopped the wrong-way driver and identified him as 55-year-old as Jon Kosor of Evansville.

Police said he was impaired with a blood alcohol content of .14%.

Koser was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he’s being held on bond.

He faces a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated.
