An Evansville man is behind bars, accused of child sexual abuse.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says 53-year-old Luther Vincent Peckinpaugh faces four counts of child molesting.
A news release from the sheriff’s office says Peckinpaugh is accused of inappropriate contact with two children, ages 10 and 11.
The investigation began at Holly’s House, where authorities say both alleged victims gave “detailed accounts of multiple incidents of sexual abuse.”
Peckinpaugh has denied the allegations.
The sheriff’s office says there are also allegations of physical abuse and the case remains under investigation.
Peckinpaugh is being held in the Vanderburgh County jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
