Evansville couple arrested in infant death

Police have arrested an Evansville couple wanted for the death of their infant son.

Indiana State Police say in a news release that officers from both sides of the Ohio River arrested Jesse and Summer Schwab at the Sugar Creek Inn at Henderson today (Fri).

The Schwabs were wanted on charges of neglect resulting in death after their eight-week-old son, Damon, died August 1st.

Toxicology reports showed the baby had meth in his system and died from asphyxiation. Authorities also said the child was dehydrated and malnourished.

The Schwabs are being held in the Henderson County Jail, while local authorities seek extradition.
