Tropicana revenue up, French Lick down

Tropicana Evansville is one of just two Indiana casinos that reported a revenue increase last month.

The Indiana Gaming Commission says monthly revenue at Indiana casinos dropped in May at eleven of the state’s 13 casinos.

Tropicana Evansville saw a $600,000 increase, bringing its May total to $11 million.

Indiana Grand Casino in Shelbyville was up $1 million to $22.6 million.

The report says adjusted gross casino revenue across the state was $184 million, down $15 million during the same month last year.

Horseshoe Hammond Casino saw the biggest dip in the state, dropping $4.2 million to $34 million last month. Ameristar Casino Hotel in East Chicago fell $3.5 million to just under $18 million.

The French Lick casino reported nearly $6.3 million in revenue in May, down almost a half-million from the same month in 2015.
