A 16-year-old girl is dead and a young man is hospitalized after a crash in Union County.
Kentucky State Police say 19-year-old Maxwell McMain of Morganfield lost control of his pickup truck on State Road 492 and it overturned multiple times.
Investigators say McMain and 16-year-old Kaci Wood were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash early Sunday morning.
Wood died at Union County Hospital. McMain was taken to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville in stable condition.
A third passenger, 20-year-old Jacob Hood, was also in the truck but not injured. Police say he was wearing a seat belt.
Investigators say they haven’t ruled out speed or alcohol as factors in the crash.
