Votes tallied after issue with 10 machines

John Gibson

All the primary votes have been counted in Vanderburgh County.

Ten voting machines at one vote center were apparently shut-down incorrectly at the end of Tuesday’s primary voting.

An official in the Election Office says the votes from those ten machines – out of 400 countywide -- were double checked, counted, and added to the unofficial results.

The added votes did not change the outcome of any races, including the tight Democratic race for State Representative District 77.

The final results show Ryan Hatfield beating Lori Sherman by just over 200 votes.

In an even tighter race, Zachary Heronemuswon the Democratic nomination for Vanderburgh County Clerk over Elliot Howard by just 73 votes.
