Voter turnout is reportedly strong at a number of polling places in Evansville and Vanderburgh County.
Following visits by Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, and Bill Clinton, local voters are helping decide who advances to the November election.
Primary voters are also deciding contested races on the local ballot.
On the Republican side, three candidates are vying for the nomination for the District 3 seat on the Vanderburgh County Commission: Brenda Bergwitz, Cheryl Musgrave, and Alex Schmitt.
Three Republicans and three Democrats are also seeking nominations for the State Representative seat being vacated by Democrat Gail Riecken.
