EVSC employee suspended

The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation has suspended one of its employees during what it calls an “investigation.”

The EVSC issued a statement announcing the suspension, but it didn’t say who the employee is or why he or she was suspended.

The school corporation says it’s “prohibited from discussing further, per state and federal law, personnel or student matters."

The statement did say an investigation is underway.

The Evansville Police Department also released a statement saying it was notified of an incident at a local high school that led to the suspension of an EVSC employee.

The statement says the incident was reviewed by a police investigator who found “no evidence” of a crime at this time.
