The man accused of a fatal shooting outside an Evansville strip club has been arrested in Kansas.
A news release from Evansville Police says 26-year-old Gerrod Pointer was taken into custody in Wichita over the weekend.
Pointer allegedly shot and killed Maurice Heyward outside the Lucky Lady Lounge on N. Main St. in February.
Authorities say a relative of Pointer's identified him from surveillance footage outside the club.
Police in Kansas arrested Pointer on a warrant for the murder in Evansville.
Officers say they also found illegal narcotics on Pointer, so he also faces a charge of drug possession.
