The head of the committee searching for the next president of Ivy Tech says the group is reviewing more than 30 applicants.
In a news release, Michael Dora says the applicant pool includes a "diverse mix of candidates from both inside Indiana and outside the state."
The school's next president will succeed Tom Snyder, who announced his retirement in September. He’s been named to President Obama's College Promise Advisory Board.
One of the highest-profile candidates for the Ivy Tech position is former Indiana Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann, who stepped down earlier this month to pursue the job.
She says her interest in work force development throughout the state is what attracts her to the position.
