THE EVANSVILLE AREA IS FACING TWO POSSIBLE SNOW EVENTS THIS WEEK.
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAYS THERE’S THE POTENTIAL FOR A WINTER WEATHER EVENT LATE TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING.
FORECASTERS SAY SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE, BUT SOME UNCERTAINTY REMAINS AS TO THE TRACK AND THE IMPACT OF THE SYSTEM.
AS OF MONDAY MORNING, FORECASTERS SAID SNOW SEEMS LIKELY OVER MUCH OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS, SOUTHWEST INDIANA, AND NORTHWEST KENTUCKY. A MIXED BAG OF WINTER PRECIPITATION MAY OCCUR FARTHER TO THE SOUTH.
THE TEMPERATURE ON WEDNESDAY IS EXPECTED TO RISE SLIGHTLY ABOVE FREEZING.
THE WEATHER SERVICE SAYS ANOTHER WINTER WEATHER EVENT WILL BE POSSIBLE THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY.
THE FORECAST CALLS FOR “SNOW LIKELY” THURSDAY NIGHT.
