A stolen Evansville school bus has been found in Ohio, and police have arrested a suspect.
The EVSC says in a news release that the bus -- privately owned by Charla Fox -- disappeared from where it was parked late Tuesday or early Wednesday. The bus normally carries students to and from Harrison, Plaza Park, and Stockwell schools.
EVSC officials notified police and used a GPS tracker to find the bus. It was tracked to Celina, Ohio — about 300 miles away.
Police arrested 55-year-old Christopher Whitney of Owensboro for allegedly stealing the bus.
EVSC spokeswoman Marsha Jackson says the thief broke a window to get inside and steal the bus.
Whitney is being held in the Mercer County Jail.
