Two teams win Shorts by High Schoolers

Two movie-making teams from local high schools have been named winners of WNIN’s Shorts by High Schoolers competition.

“The Art of Modern Farming” was made by Bosse High School students Flora Perkins, Duvonya Milan, and Branden Travino.

The other winning film was “The Princess Poetry,” made by Grace Loveless of Reitz High School and Audrey Walters of New Tech Institute.

Members of the two teams will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship, and their films will air on WNIN 9.1 January 28th at 7 p.m.

The contest is designed to promote the visual arts and equip area high school students with skills to prepare them for a career in filmmaking or other visual arts.
