The Indiana Democratic Party is raining on Governor Pence’s I-69 parade.
A news release from the state party says Pence can’t “photo op his way out of his late-to-the-game approach to fix Indiana’s crumbling infrastructure.”
The Democrats point to data from Indiana Senate Democrats showing more than 200 bridges in Southwest Indiana are structurally deficient.
They include eight in Vanderburgh County, eleven in Warrick County, 14 in Posey County, and 53 in Gibson County.
The state’s infrastructure will likely be a major issue in next year’s gubernatorial election.
