Hundreds of people dressed as Santa Claus will be running and walking on Evansville’s East Side Saturday.
The Rotary Club of Evansville will conduct its 5K Santa Run, starting at the Buffalo Trace Council’s Eykamp Scout Center at 10:00 a.m.
A mile-long walk through the State Hospital Grounds is also available.
Event Chair Cathy Sickman-Renner tells WNIN that hundreds of people have signed up and they'll receive a Santa costume, complete with red shirt and pants, a hat, a beard, and a big black belt.
Renner says the $30 entry fee goes to the Rotary’s $100,000 “centennial gift” to the city of Evansville.
The Rotary Club is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
