The University of Southern Indiana is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a number of events this week.
The events include a Founders' Day Luncheon, the premier of a documentary about USI, and a formal celebration dubbed the "Party of the Decades."
The Founders' Day Luncheon is Tuesday, and will include Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, USI Board of Trustees members, and members of the former Southern Indiana Higher Education organization, which played a big part in the university's founding.
The school will premiere the documentary, "Shaping the Future: The University of Southern Indiana," on Wednesday. It will also air on WNIN 9.1.
The celebration week also includes reunions. USI AMIGOS will host their reunion on Friday. The Multicultural Center is hosting a three-day reunion this week.
The capstone event is the "Party of the Decades" on Saturday.
