4:45pm CDT- All lanes of the Audubon Parkway are now open following a lengthy closure Thursday afternoon. Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the westbound lanes of the parkway were closed between Owensboro and Henderson for cleanup of metal pieces that apparently had fallen off a truck’s load.
Todd says the metal appeared to be one-inch-log pieces of aluminum. He says they closed the parkway after numerous vehicles suffered flat tires from the metal shards.
Todd says anyone with information on the truck that dropped the metal on the Audubon Parkway should contact Kentucky State Police or local enforcement.
