USI Students to Make Pitches at "Tech on Tap"

Two groups of USI students will make business pitches in hopes that you’ll invest in their ideas.

Tin Man Brewing will host the “Tech on Tap” innovation showcase, involving students from USI’s Technology Commercialization Academy and USI’s Eagle Innovation Accelerator Wednesday evening.

Mike Thissen is manager of the I-69 Innovation Corridor at USI. He says $550 in fake money will be handed out to each attendee, and students will make pitches.

The pitches start at 6:00 p.m. at Tin Man. The “investing” starts at 6:30.

Officials will also "pass the hat" for some real monetary donations to award to winning teams.

The TCA students will also make their pitches at USI’S Business and Engineering Building Friday from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
