A packaging products manufacturer is closing its Evansville facility, eliminating 150 jobs.
Essentra – formerly known as Keller Crescent – plans to close its facility on East Louisiana Street by October, idling 150 workers.
A news release from the company says its production of healthcare packaging will move to Charlotte, North Carolina.
Essentra says the decision follows a “comprehensive review of its site footprint in the Americas."
The Evansville site was one of 24 packaging facilities sold late last year by Clondalkin, which acquired the local operation in 2007.
