Drivers will get a taste of new pavement at the Lloyd Expressway and Highway 41, starting Wednesday.
INDOT says traffic on three ramps in the construction zone will move to new pavement: both southbound 41 ramps to the Lloyd and the westbound Lloyd ramp to northbound 41.
A news release from the agency says drivers should be alert and “merge early” for the new ramps, which will be in new locations.
INDOT also urges drivers to obey the yield sign that will be posted at the bottom of the new southbound 41 ramp to the eastbound Lloyd.
Contractor Ragle Incorporated of Newburgh is installing a full cloverleaf at the busy interchange, which will remove two stoplights from the Lloyd. The project is expected to wrap up by the end of the year.
In the meantime, lane restrictions and a reduced speed limit continue.
