Indiana State Police have apprehended a suspect in a bank robbery in northern Vanderburgh County.
It happened at about 1:15 Tuesday afternoon at the Heritage Federal Credit Union at Highway 41 and Boonville-New Harmony Road.
Dispatchers say the robber displayed a handgun, demanded money, and put cash in a cooler. They described him as “well-disguised.”
The robber left in a gray car, possibly a Ford Taurus. Just minutes later, Indiana State Police Sgt. Todd Ringle tweeted that the car was stopped at the Pilot gas station at Highway 41 and Warrenton Road, and the suspect was in custody.
There was no word of injuries in the robbery.
