Forecasters say more snow is on the way to the Evansville area.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire listening area. It kicks-in at 4:00 Tuesday afternoon and will be in effect until 9:00 Wednesday morning.
Forecasters say this new system could drop 1-to-2 inches of snow on top of the 6-to-7 inches that piled-up in the Evansville-Henderson area on Monday.
The advisory includes the same parts of western Kentucky that were buried under a foot or more of snow. Thirteen inches were recorded in Madisonville.
The weather service is also warning of gusty winds and bitter cold temperatures behind the new snow. Forecasters say the mercury could dip to 5-below Thursday morning.
