Governor Mike Pence visited Evansville’s Ford Center to discuss economics and perhaps to boost his standing as a possible presidential candidate.
Pence chaired the Indiana Economic Development Corporation’s quarterly meeting at the downtown arena.
He told the news media, including the Courier and Press, that it’s his job to make Indiana economically successful.
Pence followed his visit to Evansville with a trip to New York City for an annual GOP dinner. It’s a fundraising event that attracts Republicans who want to tap into the city’s massive bank of campaign cash.
